We offer CrossFit Kids programs that serve youth from 3-17 years old.
Those ages are broken up into our CrossFit Preschool, CrossFit Kids, and CrossFit Teens classes. They are all based on the concept that any youth can be a Superhero, and that is exactly what they are!
We offer these classes year round.
We offer affordable packages for these classes that are based around the semesters in school and also in the summer.
We offer Drop-ins for these classes.
First and foremost, we have FUN! We play lots of games no matter what age!
Like CrossFit, our CrossFit Kids program combines cardio, gymnastics, and weightlifting elements to develop a broad foundation of fitness. Our main priority is to always pair fitness with having FUN to ensure a lifelong relationship with health and wellness.
CrossFit Kids is an exciting and fun way for kids to exercise and learn healthy lifestyle habits. Our Coaches are CrossFit Kids Trainers who provide a safe and fun environment that guarantees success for all ability and experience levels. This is NOT just weightlifting for kids. We will focus on good movement, having fun, teamwork, and confidence building.
Classes will have a little teaching time, a fun warm-up (stretching too), a lot of game time, and a small WOD (workout of the day). As the students get older the class begins to look more and more like an adult class.
The physical benefits your child will experience as part of the CrossFit Cortez Kids program are really only the beginning of how we can enrich their lives. Through exercising amongst their peer group in a structured and safe environment, your children will improve social skills, build confidence, understand work ethic, foster teamwork and learn to value integrity & discipline. More importantly, it is well documented that cognitive development excels in children that are paired with a physical fitness program.
Your child will also be given constant opportunities to succeed and perform better than they previously had, while still learning to fail with dignity and have the grit to grow from those experiences. Children in a CrossFit Kids program will be more likely to have a self-perception based on what they can do, rather than what they look like or other superficial attributes.
